Packing and shipping the artwork safely is as important as finding homes for the artwork.
We charge only actual shipping and packing to our clientele.
Packing of framed pieces costs about C$25.00 Packing of large and delicate objects is determined on a piece by piece basis, again, only actual costs are applied.
We do not make any surplus on shipping and packing, and work only to ensure that the piece will arrive safely.
We use a variety of methods, including Canada Post, TNT Express, Purolator, UPS, FedEx and airline cargo companies, usually Air Canada Cargo.
To give you an idea -
Prints travel to the US for about C$25.00 through Canada Post to the USPS, registered and insured. Prints travel to Europe for about C$40. These prices are estimates, as it depends on the size of the piece and the speed at which the piece travels.
Most medium sized boxes, 24" x 24" x 16" travel to the US for about C$45.00
Purchases shipped out of the country are exempt of Canadian taxes. Purchases shipped out of Province travel with only the GST, or General Services Tax, applied. If a piece is carried by hand out of the gallery, we are compelled to charge both the PST, the Provincial Sales Tax, and the GST. The British Columbia Provincial Sales Tax is 7%, the GST is 5%.
The artwork travels duty free to the USA.
